What restaurant do you recommend in Minneapolis/Twin Cities Area?
My wife and I are coming into town tonight and we are looking for a nice place to eat. We are not looking for anything expensive like Morton's, but neither are we looking for fast food; just a nice sit down restaurant. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Oh and we are willing to travel outside of Minneapolis to the suburbs as well.

Murreys in downtown Minneapolis. Or your choice of 25 different Olive Garden's maybe 35 different Applebees 15 Perkins you get the idea, their is no lack of places to eat in this huge metro area

dont go to boise. stay in minnesota. nothing cool ever happens out here, crappiest place on earth the west sucks real bad. im from minnesota living in northern utah. it blows

I-94 W out of Minneapolis looks closer. Although it snowed from Oklahoma to Michigan last week, we didn't get any snow in eastern South Dakota. The other route would be I-35 to I-80 all the way to Salt Lake City. It's not going to be as cold next week as it was last week (frigid). The answer by West Sucks seems to be a joke - crude and unitelligible - but a joke none-the-less

1 800 GO AMTRAK will help you out on the start point....all trains will go to Chicago and you will have to change trains there. Then get on the one that travels thru Wisconsin to Minneapolis/St Paul. Been there... at the point from the windy city to Tomah, Wi. They have sleeper cars, observation cars and a lounge car. It is a Blast and recommend it for the safest way and carefree way of travel... Happy travels, my friend. Plenty of legg room too!

POST online "Bush and Cheney canceled the scheduled appearances because of the Hurricane Gustav, which appears to be on a collision course with the Gulf Coast. According to the Associated Press, Bush might reschedule his appearance for later this week but Cheney is leaving on a four day foreign trip starting Tuesday that seems to preclude him from making a stop at the convention. The absence of the two most visible -- and controversial -- members of the Bush Administration is seen as a blessing by nearly every Republican not directly tied to the president."

How much would it cost for me to travel to Minnesota?
I would like to travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota. I live in Rhode Island, so how much would it cost for me to travel there by train if I go on my own? Bernie, thank you!

About Travel - United States.... why does Minneapolis not have a section
Travel - United States.... why does Minneapolis not have a section?
I was just wondering as smaller less "touristy" cities like Kansas City (my city), Cleveland, Cincinnati, Sacramento etc are up there but Minneapolis is not, the upper midwest is not represented at all, why is this? What's the reason?

There are only 31 cities listed based on some committee's choice of tourist destinations. There is not even 1 for each state. It would be impractical to add many more cities. ₪ ʎəɿʞɹÉq ₪

I agree, Minneapolis should be up there. If it's a travel section why have two cities from Ohio and none for Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and the Dakotas, who goes to Ohio?

When this site started in 2005, it was tiny. Just a few categories. Each month they add more. You can hover over ABOUT at the top of this page. Choose Suggestion Board. That is where you place your ideas for improving the site or adding categories. This is an existing post that says "If you have an idea for a new category post it here" but you have to search for it. You can just post a new entry and tell why you think it would be a good idea
