Why don't they have a minneapolis category in USA Travel?
there is such a variety of questions for MSP, and its hard to locate them in the USA travel general questions.

I've wondered about this myself and made this suggestion to Yahoo, but haven't received any response. The Twin Cities is one of the largest metro areas in the country much larger than most of the cities that have their own category

About Travel options from Madison, WI to Minneapolis, MN
Travel options from Madison, WI to Minneapolis, MN?
I am looking to see if there are any other options to get to Minneapolis from Madison. Amtrak is sold out, Megabus is also sold out. I really don't want to take Greyhound (personal reasons) I also put an ad on Craiglist for a ride share but everyone is leaving either too early or too late. Flying is not an option. Help.

Answer 1 :
Why is flying not an option? Afraid of flying? Too costly? Flying on Northwest Airlines Airlink or Mesaba Airlines is not bad, yes it's a smaller plane but it gets you there in about an hour. There should be direct non stop flights into Minneapolis from Madison. Since NWA's Headquarters is in Minneapolis. Try renting a car for the week or weekend. Enterprise and Budget have been the least expensive that I've grown acustom with, but that's here in Detroit. Each market is different so check'em all. Your last hope maybe Greyhound. Sure you may have had poor service the last time you rode with them but perhaps they learned their lesson and this time will be different? Anyway, you won't know until you try them again. Good Luck.......

There is no spoon. Or Minneapolis.
Answer 2 :
Actually, Minneapolis is smaller than Portland. Most of the cities are one of the biggest in the United States, although Minneapolis does beat a few of the cities. Good question. Yahoo! Answers may of not thought of it, or thought that the category may be unsuccessful or unnecessary. If you wish to add a Minneapolis category, you can do so by moving your mouse on the ABOUT tab and click on 'Suggestion Board'. http://suggestions.yahoo.com/?prop=answers

He probably doesn't need a plane ticket since you can hold him on your lap. If you think he'll need help sleeping, take him to the doctor and see what they recommend as far as keeping him calm and happy on the flight; babies can have trouble with the pressure on their ears, so make sure you ask about this as well

Yes, Greyhound BusLines does that route, daily: You can purchase your ticket online here: http://www.greyhound.com/home/
Answer 2 :
As the above poster mentioned, Greyhound DOES go there, but it might take you forever and a day with all of the stops they make. If you have a little extra money and don't mind flying, it might be worth it for you to shell out more for a flight. If your times of day are flexible, try priceline.com's name your own price. I've had great luck with that in the past and think you might, too!

Should there be a section for Minneapolis in the Travel category?
Considering that there are metros smaller than the Twin Cities there. example - Indianapolis, Portland, Austin, several others. it might sound like a surprising question considering my Avatar. its a fairly big metro area, but not a very touristy one. its on the top ten list for education and still a noteworthy destination for businessmen.

Sure, after all, the Mall of America is there and people probably have questions about it... There really isn't all that much else worth going there for, though

Updated: Get your employer to legitimately pay for it. Get proper permission to travel and to work and get your employer to sponsor your trip. Try contacting a university to become an employee. the job title would be "the musician in residence".. the same thing as a "visiting musician" who stays for a time and teaches and or performs. What instrument.. voice, strings, wood wind, brass, or percussion such as drums?

If you have received an answer that meets your needs, _please_ choose one of those as a 'best answer' as soon as you can; otherwise, this question will go to an automatic vote. Other answerers deserve to receive the 'best answer' vote for their attempt at answering your question. If you haven't received a good answer for your question, you may want to consider the following, 1) Remove this version of your question and re-post your question. Newer questions get more activity on Yahoo! Answers than old ones. 2) If you do re-post your question, consider why it wasn't answered the first time. Could it be more specific? Could it be worded better? Were there grammatical or spelling errors? Was it in the best category? Can you provide more helpful details? If it doesn't seem likely that re-posting your question will help you, then here's a listing of my favorite 'answer sites' for Arts & Humanities. Maybe one of them will help you. Great question!!! I'm actually heading to Duluth in a couple hours. Would be nice to know if I could just park somewhere in Minneapolis/St Paul.
Answer 2 :
Try in Rail section Including road travel at http://quickguidefortravellers.blogspot.com
Answer 3 :
greyhound runs several times a day. there are no passenger trains, but if you did want to pay a little more, you could fly northwest arlines. it's about 2 hours to drive if you prefer to go the rental car route. finally, check into charter buses, some of the casinos may run a route that could get you there for a bargain. but so far as regularly scheduled transit, go greyhound.
Answer 4 :
there's greyhounds and you could also fly
